Traditional Therapy
Clients can choose from some of the following forms of treatment and healing:
- Taking a wellness approach and identifying strengths in mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
- Cognitive behaviour therapy: learning about and changing the way one thinks, feels and/or behaves helps a person cope with depression and/or anxiety.
- Anger management: helps in understanding and processing anger in a healthy way
- Trauma Focused therapy: helps process and work through trauma issues related to abuse, accidents, or other traumas; also helps reduce PTSD symptoms
- Grief and loss therapy: to help heal from the losses in life
- Play therapy: for children helps children process their feelings and experiences
- Expressive arts: helps accessing inner strengths and insights as well as letting go of past hurts through drawing, visualizing, movement (i.e. dance or movement meditation), relaxation, meditation, drama
- Mindfulness training: learning to be in the present moment through “retraining the brain” to let go of “mind chatter” and “repetitive worries and thoughts”
- Communication skills training: building and strengthening relationships through learning and /or enhancing communication strategies.
